NOTE (2/23/2010): Ubisoft has lowered the price of The Battle Of Forli ADD-ON to $3.99. My opinion still applies, the cost has just been lowered.

A look into the mind of a madman Greetings my fellow Bandalfites! This is Bandalf1224 popping in to basically tell you what is on my mind at the moment.
Now I'm going to let you brace yourself in a corner of your room. Hold onto something because I'm am going to bash a game that was one of the best of 2009. Clench your fists and bit down hard on your teeth. Here I go...
ASSASSIN'S CREED II - Good til' the Last Drop!?Many of you might be wondering why I'm dissing such a great game. Don't get me wrong. The graphics, sound, gameplay, and just about everything else in the game is top notch.
Where I'm stuck at is the fact that Ubisoft was idiotic enough to not allow any gamer to unlock full 100% completion of the game.
I'm sitting at home playing the game through. I realize that Sequence 12 and 13 are missing from the game. This puzzles me, so I do a little research and find out that Ubisoft didn't put them into the actual game. I guess they decided to sell them as bonus packs or "Add Ons", for all you PS3 gamers out there.
What is even worse is the fact that only Sequence 12 has been released and it costs $9.99 to purchase the stupid part of the game!!! C'MON UBISOFT!!! The US is in a freakin' economic decline here.
The great thing is, you didn't happen to tell anyone that the Sequences were missing from the game. You basically let every consumer buy an Assassin's Creed II game without having the entire game in it!
That's like buying a pizza, only to find that two slices are missing from it. ITS NOT A WHOLE PIZZA!
Now, I can understand letting people who pre-ordered a copy of the game get some bonus Templar Tombs and few cool upgrades, but that doesn't affect the 100% completion of the game.
I'm sitting here with a stupid 90-some-odd percentage of completion on a game I thought I would admire entirely. Unfortunately, I was wrong.
You even put in this awesome U-Play feature for gamers. Does this hold any of the content we SHOULD be able to unlock for 100% completion? OF COURSE NOT!!!
If you want to add something to the game and make it cost something, don't make it the only way to get 100% completion. The game already costs $60 and you want to charge us more for part of the game that should already be in...THE GAME!!!
Ubisoft, you disappoint me as I am sure you disappointed many other AC II gamers. I never thought I would ever make an "It's A Wonderful Life" reference in my entire life, but Ubisoft is the Mr. Potter of game creating companies.
SHAME ON YOU UBISOFT! What a horrible way to Scrooge McDuck your way through life.
Ubisoft listened to people who played the first Assassin's Creed and had opinions on how to make the second one better. I insist that anyone who likes the Assassin's Creed series should voice your own opinion as I already have to Ubisoft. Tell them to make sure that 100% completion of the game should be obtained without having to spend more hard-earned consumer money on a stupid "Add On" pack.
I don't know if this goes for XBox 360 gamers too. I know there is a point system on the XBox 360, but am not sure if it has anything to do with the "Add On". Maybe you guys don't have to pay for it, but I would find it very annoying that you would have to spend points on something that should be in the game anyway.
AC II "Add Ons" for Sequences that are missing should be FREE OF CHARGE!!!
Now, if you excuse me. I have to eat this delicious pizza with two missing slices. Oh! Wait! No I don't! At least the pizza place doesn't rip me off like you did Ubisoft!

Adios!
