Eh, patience may be a virtue, but I'm not feeling particularly virtuous. I'll go ahead and start working on that Cyber Dragon deck during the next update. In the meantime, something to tide you over.
All right, I promised looting, so here's some loot, starting with the abandoned building we found treasure outside earlier...guess it's not so abandoned, huh?
What's that...? There's something under the desk.(Enemy Controllers are always good, especially when we get to the point where opponents actually have cards like Tragoedia and Gorz the Emissary of Darkness. This one's actually our third, and replaces Diffusion Wave-Motion in the deck.)
(As you can see, this box contains 300 DP. Chump change, but at least it's free. That's all we'll be able to collect for now...but Lyra's got a bunch of DP burning a hole in her pocket and the Runner shop is finally selling things besides shields and frames.)
(Speaking of shields, they're unchanged from Stardust Accelerator. You have the Frame Shield, which protects from impacts against rocks and the like, the Wheel Shield, which protects from obsticles like oil slicks, and the Full Shield that protects against everything but has much lower endurance. There are actually two new items that can occupy a frame slot, but they aren't available yet.)
(You might remember the Wings and Side Armor from Stardust Accelerator, and they do the same thing as there. Wings increase top speed and acceleration, while Side Armor improves endurance. Feathers are new to this game, and improve breaking as well as providing a much more substantial boost to acceleration than Wings.)
(Again, the Booster and Hi-Booster work exactly like in Stardust Accelerator (Hi-Booster dashes for longer but has less uses), and the Turbo Jet is new. If you hit a "dash plate" (the accelerator pads), the boost lasts for longer.)
(And finally the interior parts. Accelerators, Turbo Chips, and Balancers work as before, while the Quick Chip acts as a start-of-race turbo. It'll give a massive acceleration and top speed boost for 10 seconds, but then reduce your top speed and acceleration for the rest of the race. The final Quick Chip has a massive penalty after its duration expires, but if you can complete the course without crashing into anything, it'll give amazing times in Time Attack. It's the only new part I don't really like though. Lyra buys everything, knocking us down by about 5000 DP, but it results in this:)
(Not excellent, but will definitely help in the next event it's required in.)
(Taking it for a test spin actually yields Full Throttle, which as I mentioned is my favorite Turbo Duel Trap Card. Why? It's simple, the card gives you an extra Speed Counter during every Standby Phase. That might not sound like much, but it means you can use a Speed Spell that costs 4 counters every turn, which includes stuff like Angel Baton now. Playing multiples would actually make cards like Speed Spell - Raigeki viable. The other cards are much less spectacular, Speed Spell - Tremendous Fire and Speed Booster.)
Lyra: Huh...what was that?
Crow: Hey, Lyra.
Lyra: Oh, hi, Crow.
Lyra: Well, I just saw...
(I think this is the first we see of Annie. She, along with Itsuki, is one of the kids Crow takes care of. And a little kid whose slightly less evil than kids in Satellite tend to be.)
Lyra: He what?!
Crow: What?! Who kidnapped him?!
Annie: I don't know, but they took him away on a Duel Runner!
Crow: Agh! I wonder where they went off to...
Lyra: A Duel...I saw a couple go off this way! *points*
Crow: What?! You saw Duel Runners that looked like the ones that took Itsuki away?
Lyra: Well, no, but I did see a couple flee, and that's pretty suspicious.
Crow: Nice! Let's go after 'em! Annie, you stay here in the house!
Annie: Okay! Just please bring Itsuki back!
Crow: Lyra, you go ahead on your Duel Runner! Hurry!
(Despite what he says, you need to talk to him again to begin the event. Coincidentally, it's game over if you lose, so you might want to save in his/your house first.)
Lyra: Let's hope we can get to him in time...
Crow: Let's go, Lyra!
(Remember the escape races where you had to get away from Trudge in Stardust Accelerator? Well, here you get to do the opposite, try to run your opponent down. The race ends either when you pass your opponent or your opponent crosses the finish line, and they get a fair headstart. However, the opponent racing AI sucks in this game, so as long as you don't crash a lot, you'll do fine. Lyra caught up to him in 11.09 seconds)
(Ah, my apologies on the team name.)
Lyra: Maybe because you can't handle a Duel Runner to save your life?
Kuroe: The Enforcers!!! I'm calling you punks out! Duel!
Lyra: *laughs* You mean you honestly think you can defeat us? Crow, let's teach these idiots a lesson.
Lyra: Hard to underestimate dirt.
Crow: Bring it on!
(Ah, Kameno. His Lucky Turtle Shell deck was the first roadblock of Stardust Accelerator, but fortunately it's much more forgiving here. Rather than being a mill deck, he has a lot of Turtle themed cards (UFO Turtle, Pyramid Turtle, Gora Turtle, Crystal Beast Emerald Tortoise) and defensive Trap cards meant to keep his cards alive rather than destroy your own cards. His key card is Catapult Turtle, which I suppose would be his win condition if his monsters didn't have such pathetic ATK. There's no way he'll be able to launch enough monsters to finish you, so just lay the beat on him as hard as you can. If you can summon it, Ally of Justice Catastor is excellent here since it can destroy most of his monsters even through Castle Walls, Mask of Weakness, or Waboku.)
Kameno: Hey, you're not bad.
Kuroe: Grrr! We're not gonna forget this!
Lyra: Good. Maybe next time you try kidnapping one of Crow's kids, you'll remember the beatdown we gave you.
Crow: *as Kuroe runs off* Don't forget who you're messin' with!
Kameno: H-hey, wait up!!!
Lyra: Well, we weren't just going to leave you there, were we?
Crow: Are you okay?!
Itsuki: I'm fine! I knew you two would come and save me, so I wasn't scared at all!
Crow: Good. Let's go home.
Itsuki: *runs over to the bookshelf and back* Thanks for saving me back there! Here, take this card, Lyra!
You obtained "Kunai with Chain"Lyra: For me? Thank you.
(While it's not very useful in competition, Kunai with Chain is a fairly useful card this early on, especially if you're using a deck based on Warrior's Strike.)
Annie: Come on, Itsuki!
Itsuki: Okay!
Crow: Don't go and get yourself caught like that again, all right?
Itsuki: No problem! Besides, I know you guys'll come and save me again even if I do!
Lyra: *sighs* He's right, but I think he's taking the wrong lesson away from this...
Crow: Uh, but... Ahhh, forget it... Lyra, thanks for the help. We wouldn't have even been able to find them without you.
Lyra: He's practically family, don't sweat it.
Crow: Itsuki talks big, but I know he was scared to death. I'm just glad you were around to help!
Lyra: *grin* What would you do without me?
Lyra: What did he want?
Annie: I told him you guys were out, so he told me to tell you to come by the hideout when you get back. So for the record, I DID give you the message if anyone asks!
Crow: Doesn't anybody know how to just relax around here...?
Lyra: It's boring. Come on, let's go.
Crow: Well, I guess Kalin's waiting on us. Let's go on over to the hideout.
(And so we shall. But first, more loot!)
(Now that we've beaten Team Black 'n Blue, we can invade their hideout at our leisure. The basement level houses a block puzzle that conceals several treasures, and because it's optional, it's a lot harder than the ones from Stardust Accelerator. The first treasure is easy to collect on. Just push the block to the right there a space to the right.)
(Like that. Here's what it looks like, if you're curious:)
(Now for the next one. Still easy, just go to this group of blocks here)
(And arrange them like so)
(The box in the lower left contains 1500 DP, and the box in the upper right contains 1000. From the upper right box, there's a hollow under the bridge that leads you here:)
(Simply push the box to the right one space rightand go down to proceed.)
(Just climb the stairs to the right and go across, then double back on the ground floor to collect this treasure.)
(To access the rest of the area, just keep pushing that block, you'll eventually be able to get it into an alcove where it's out of the way.)
(Like so.)
(Push this box left, the box below it down, and take the stairwell to another treasure.)
(This Star Chip, in fact)
(Push this box left and go up for a shortcut to the entrance, you'll have to exit and return to reset the puzzle and get that last box.)
(While taking it, you'll run into something. Press A and recover this treasure, a cool 2000 DP. Once you re-enter, repeat the steps up until this point)
(What you want to do this time is push the lower box to the left, and both of the upper boxes one space up.)
(Like so. Your reward is a Magical Android. Return the way you came, ditch the basement, and save. You don't want to repeat any of these puzzles, though that one was pretty tame. Since giving directions is kind of complicated, I'll just video them from now on.)
(In the same room as the save point, you can now conveniently find this box holding a Magical Hats card. No, it wasn't there earlier.)
(This box is in the west room on the second floor. This is actually much earlier than you should be able to obtain Councilor Lily, she's from the Extra Pack 2, which you can't obtain until after the story. Her stats are the same as Injection Fairy Lily, but she's a Tuner that gives the summoned Synchro monster 1000 extra ATK for the turn by paying 500 Life Points when used as Synchro Material. Unfortunately, she's also a Fairy-Type instead of Spellcaster-Type, so we can't really use her. Pity, Spellcasters could really use a Level 3 Tuner.)
(And this Black Horn of Heaven is in Hiroyuki's old room. Sadly, all of team Black 'n Blue have abandoned the place, so we can't duel them.)
(But, now that Itsuki is back, Annie will duel you. She uses a Naturia deck, which is based on the Naturia archetype, which in turn attempts to control your card usage. Fortunately, it's not a very good Naturia deck, and thus shouldn't pose a problem.)
(Oh, and going back inside the house yields a Forbidden Chalice. Nifty. Once you're done looting and dueling, return to the map room in the Enforcer hideout.)
Lyra: Enforcing.
Crow: Itsuki got kidnapped by Team Dirty Works. The two of us went off after 'em.
Kalin: What?! So that's why Annie looked so upset. Is Itsuki all right?
Crow: Yeah, Lyra here saw 'em riding off on their Duel Runners. After that, we were able to catch up to 'em pretty quickly. He's outside playing now.
Kalin: Well, that's good to hear. Grrr!!! I can't believe those Team Dirty Works punks! They're not gonna get away with this!
Lyra: Does that mean what I think it means?
Crow: Yeah, they went too far with this one.
Kalin: What a coincidence. I was just thinking about who to go up against at our next turf battle... This makes things easy, though... Dirty Works it is! Let's go crush those guys right now! Bring your "A" game for this one! We've gotta make them pay!!!
Lyra: Ah, retribution! I love it!
Crow: All right! I'll get ready as quick as possible.
Kalin: Lyra, you gotta hurry up and get ready, too!
Lyra: Don't worry, I'm always ready.
Kalin: I'll go tell Jack and Yusei. Let me know when you're ready. I'll be waiting out front.
(You know the drill. Save, talk to Kalin when you're ready.)
Kalin: That's the hideout of those cowards! There'll be no holding back, clear?
Lyra: Aww, not even to prolong their suffering?
Crow: Let's just bust in there and take 'em out!
Kalin: Yeah! Even if they hide, drag them out kicking and crush them!
Lyra: Now that I can get behind. Let's do this!
Kalin: I'll go first! Jack and Yusei should be here soon, so you stay here and fill them in on what's going on! *enters the hideout*
Crow: I'm goin' with you! *runs after Kalin*
Lyra: Wait, you're making me wait out here for them? No fair!
Lyra: Inside, like we should be.
Jack: Huh? They ran inside just as you got here?
Yusei: They must still be mad about this morning...
Jack: I guess we'd better go help them before they hog all the glory for themselves.
Yusei: Yeah, those two need to learn how to calm down a bit sometimes. When you get hotheaded like that, it's easy to fall into an enemy's trap like Kalin did last time.
Lyra: I hate to admit it, but that's a good point.
Jack: Yeah. You're right. Let's go check things out.
(While they're royal jerks, Dirty Works could have picked a worse place for a hideout. Right now, we're in an arcade. And a few of the games have lines explaining which Konami-made game they are. See if you can name them!
Looks like an arcade game. It says, "The industry's first online battle arcade game."
Looks like an arcade game you play with cards, but it's busted.
Looks like a cool retro game. It says, "The ultimate side-scrolling shooter with a power-up gauge."
Looks like a music game. You can only make out the ending letters, "MANI")
(You can find this in the coin slot of the card-based arcade game, it's a Star Chip)
Kuroe: Hey! You're those punks from this morning!
Lyra: We're baaack!
Kuroe: Attacking so soon? You guys are pretty impatient! Get your decks out! I'll duel ya right now!
Lyra: That's the idea.
Kuroe: You got guts, I'll give ya that!
(All right, Kuroe uses Masterful Magician, which also has been changed from its original incarnation. Rather than being a Dark Magician/Magician's Circle deck, it focuses mostly on Ice Barrier spellcasters with some random weak magicians as well. Definitely a battle of magic heavily in Lyra's favor. Oh, his key card is Dai-sojo of the Ice Barrier, which prevents his Ice Barrier monsters from being destroyed by Spell or Trap effects.)
Kuroe: Heh! We got much more efficient ways of dealing with punks like you than dueling...
Lyra: Such as hiding behind arcade machines?
Kuroe: I think it's about time somebody fell into our little trap...
Lyra: Trap...Yusei! Jack!
(Entering the bowling alley above the arcade will result in your character pushing Yusei out of the way right before this pile of rocks fall upon the place where he'd been standing.)
Yusei: What?!
Lyra: *breathing heavily* I was...tipped off. Lucky I got here in time, huh?
Yusei: Lyra... If it wasn't for you, I'd be...
Lyra: Dead. These bastards aren't playing around.
Yusei: Thank you.
Lyra: We'd do the same for any of us. It's just how friends are. But there's more where these came from, a lot more.
Yusei: What? There are a lot of traps set in the area, huh? I guess they were expecting us. We should let the others know.
Lyra: It might be a bluff, we may have got here before they could set up any more. But be careful.
Yusei: I'll go tell them. You stay here and keep an eye out for the enemy!
Kameno: Huh?! You're still alive! How the heck did you escape?! It took us forever to set it up, man!
Lyra: *dangerously calm* Because you and I have unfinished business. Kidnapping Itsuki was heinous. Attempting to kill me and my friends is unforgivable.
Kameno: Oh well. Guess I'll have to finish you off with a duel!
Lyra: Then come.
Kameno: Lemme warn you now, we didn't set up those traps 'cause we stink at dueling or anything like that!
(Kameno's deck is unchanged. He's still not a threat.)
Lyra: Not a bad idea. Maybe I'll draw your pathetic leader from hiding.
(Turns out, we don't have to, returning to the arcade causes Ida to confront you automatically.)
Ida: I heard all about what you did to some of my crew. Don't think you can just bust into somebody's hideout like that and get away with it! Bring it on!
Lyra: So you're the one behind it all. You won't go unpunished, I'm making sure of that! Duel!
Ida: You're gonna regret ever comin' to this part of town!
(Ida's special rule is that we play a match instead of a regular duel. Like his henchmen, his Ida Dragon deck has changed from its Stardust Accelerator incarnation. There, it was a Red-Eyes deck, here he uses a Frost and Flame Dragon deck. It's still pretty terrible, though said key card can be troublesome if you ever allow it to reach play.)
Ida: Grrr!!! And I worked so hard on my team...
Lyra: Focus more on the "get better at dueling" and less on the "kidnappings and deathtraps" next time. *Ida flees*
Yusei: So you defeated their leader, huh? Looks like we've taken this area, too, then.
Lyra: Huh? Oh, yeah, guess we have. How're-
Yusei: Don't worry, the other members are fine. Kalin and Crow actually handled the trap really well.
Lyra: That's a relief.
Yusei: And I owe my safety to you. Thank you.
Lyra: I already told you, it's part and parcel of being friends.
Yusei: Well, I know we're friends, but I stll just wanted to say thanks.
Lyra: Oh. Well, you're welcome. But my point still stands
Yusei: Yeah, that's for sure. We all really do have some great friends. Hey, let's meet up with everybody and get back to the hideout.
Kalin: But it's too soon to get complacent just yet. We've still got one more area to conquer!
Crow: We're almost there, though!
Jack: It was a long battle... Do you really think we can conquer all of Satellite?
Lyra: Come on, we've come too far to stumble at the finish line.
Crow: Heh, are you kiddin'? We've got it sewn up!
Kalin: Of course! But be sure you all tweak your decks to perfection just to be sure! We wouldn't want to have come all this way just to lose here at the very end! All right, that's all for today. I'll let you know whenever we decide the day of the battle.
(The day ends, and you start in Crow's/your house. Of course, now that team Dirty Works is down for the count, we can safely loot the treasure that they leave behind but wasn't there when we first arrived.)
(The arcade has this Defender, the Magical Knight which will go straight into the deck.)
(The lower left corner contains a Prime Material Dragon, which is incredibly useful.)
(And the bowling alley hides a Shrink. With all that done, it's time for a break into the World Championship.)
(World Championship is as it always is, presenting an array of opponents for you to defeat. Intrestingly, all of the World Championship series booster packs are unlocked simply by unlocking opponents, rather than defeating them, with the exception of World Championship Edition 1. To unlock that particular pack, you'll have to defeat the starting 6 opponents 3 times. Since their strategies aren't all obvious, I'll go ahead and give you a rundown.
Princes Pikeru: Uses Volcanic Queen and Burden of the Mighty to try to summon either herself or Princess Curran. More annoying than dangerous.
Herald of Green Light: Uses the three Herald monsters, along with assorted LIGHT monsters and Honest to try to control the cards you play while Destiny Board ticks down in the background. If he ever summons a LIGHT monster with less ATK than one of your monsters and just leaves it there, he's sitting on Honest. Try to draw out a Herald before attacking it so that he discards his Honest first.
Fortune Lady Light: Uses...well, Fortune Ladies. She attempts to get out either Fortune Lady Dark or Fortune Lady Earth and protect them with Slip of Fortune and Bending Destiny while they quickly become too powerful for you to defeat in battle. Easily defeated if you keep Dark and Earth off the field.
Vennominaga the Deity of Poisonous Snakes: Reptile/Venom deck focused on herself. She uses Burden of the Mighty as well to accelerate decay due to Venom Swamp. Very, very frustrating.
Nanobreaker: Uses Konami cameo monsters and video game promotional Spell/Trap cards. Herself, Ninja Grandmaster Sasuke, Goe Goe the Valliant Ninja, Lady Ninja Yae, Tactical Espionage Unit, and I think some of the Gradius series cards. It works really as a basic beatdown, but also has access to Burden of the Mighty. I'm getting a theme here...
Izanami: Uses a Spirit deck. Really, the worst I've seen her do is use Mausoleum of the Emperor to continuously summon Dark Dust Spirit, though I'm certain she has double Tribute Spirits somewhere.)
(Every time you beat a CPU opponent or tag team for the first time in World Championship mode, you'll get a Star Chip. Given that you can unlock 72 CPU duelists and 36 CPU teams, the bulk of your Star Chips are going to come from this. We currently have 9 Star Chips, 3 from the Story and 6 from defeating that wave of WC duelists.)
(Unchanged from last game, but I'm actually not hunting for Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon this time.)
(This was my goal. While I won't be able to properly use him until I obtain Sage's Stone, which is in WCE2, he makes for an impressive boss monster. All right, back to the story. Go up towards the Enforcer Hideout to trigger this event.)
Lyra: 'Lo. What's up?
Kalin: You beat that leader last time, didn't you? I was gonna handle it, but it looks like you went and stole my thunder!
Lyra: I...what? He challenged me, you can't expect me to deliberately lose so you can claim him!
Kalin: All right, Lyra. You and me duel right now. I won't take no for an answer! I'm not gonna let you hog all the glory!
(This, obviously, is for Kalin's pride as leader, so I suppose the graceful thing to do is let him win.
Lyra: No way am I going to do that!
Or you could just crush him. I don't think it makes a difference.)
Kalin: Here, use this card and you'll be even better!
You obtained "Shield Crush"(Oh, I think you don't get the card if you lose.)
Kalin: Anyway, I'll check out the remaining turf.
(Once Kalin leaves, go back and talk to Crow to proceed.)
Crow: I just finished tweaking my deck. Let's duel so I can try it out! We didn't get a chance last time, so this is a great opportunity!
Lyra: Ahh, why not? Should be fun.
Crow: All right, let's duel!
(Crow's Ascending Legend deck is actually fairly threatening - Blackwings are a very powerful archetype, even in the form Crow uses right now. Fortunately, his only Synchro monster is Blackwing Armor Master, which while powerful, requires Gale + one of his Level 4 monsters or Blizzard + Sirroco, and he doesn't reliably draw into his most powerful monsters.)
Crow: Oh man, I lost! Guess my deck needs a little more tweakin'... Well, here's your reward for winning. Go on, take it!
You obtained "Raigeki Break"(Another situationally useful card at this stage)
Lyra: Thanks.
Kalin: Oh, you're both here. The final turf battle is tomorrow!
Crow: Yeah, I can't wait for it!
Lyra: One last battle and the Enforcers will rule it all...
Kalin: We're up against Team Non-Securities. I hear they've got a lot of members.
Lyra: Yeah, and most of them marked.
Crow: A big team, eh? I guess I better work on my deck more and get it just right for tomorrow.
Kalin: That's right. No matter who we're up against, you always gotta prepare for the worst.
Crow: Don't worry! I'll build an invincible deck by tomorrow!
Kalin: I'll make sure Yusei and Jack are both filled in on what's going on, too. Lyra, make sure you're all good to go for tomorrow, too.
Lyra: Got it.
Crow: I guess I better go ahead and start gettin' ready then.
Annie: Hey! I wanna duel with Lyra, too!
Itsuki: I called it first!
Annie: No way! I wanna go first!
Crow: Come on, no fighting! Besides, Lyra is busy getting ready for tomorrow.
Lyra: Thanks for the save.
Itsuki: Yeah, but she promised!
Annie: She promised me, too!
Itsuki: Did not!
Annie: Did too!
Crow: *sigh* Did you really promise to duel these two?
Lyra: Not that I recall.
Crow: Yeah, I didn't think so... *sigh* Kids... Look, I'll duel you instead. How 'bout that?
Itsuki & Annie: No way! We don't wanna duel you, Crow! That's never any fun!
Crow: What...?! Oh, NOW you two finally agree on something! Humph! Fine then. How 'bout this? You two team up together. Then Lyra and I will duel you two in a tag duel. NOW are you happy?
Lyra: Do I get a say in this?
Crow: Hey, sorry. Hopefully it'll only take a minute. They'll never shut up if we don't...
Lyra: Too true.
Itsuki: Fine.
Annie: It's better than dueling Crow by himself...I guess.
Crow: You guys need to learn some respect! Who's raising you kids anyway?!
(The combination of their expressions and that retort...I love it.)
Crow: Ugh... Oh yeah...
Lyra: Looks like they've got you there.
Crow: Well, anyway... You all know the rules for tag duels, don't ya?
(And then there's this. Do they have to be so enthusiastic about it?)
Crow: Yeah, I didn't think so... You wanna hear the rules, too, Lyra?
Lyra: Nah, I already know how to tag duel.
(Unlike in Stardust Accelerator, you can skip the tag and turbo duel tutorials. Nice for those of us who've played the game before, or Stardust Accelerator, for that manner.)
Crow: Yeah, wouldn't wanna bore ya. Hold on a sec while I explain them to the kiddies.
(Go ahead and take a moment to save before talking to Crow to start the duel. Your opponents aren't very threatening, but you and Crow could get a horrible draw.)
Itsuki & Annie: We can't wait!!!
(Itsuki & Annie, using the name "Two Cute" for their team, are...well, pretty easy to defeat. Their component strategies don't really complement one another, and conflict in Field Spells, at least. They're also not powerful enough on their own to pose a threat. You're only going to lose if you get screwed on draws.)
Crow: All right! We make a great team! Put this card in your deck. It will improve our tag partnership!
You obtained "The Calculator"(Ah, good for swarm decks, Demise, and Yubel. Not so good with our Magicians.)
Crow: Are you satisfied now? Look, we've gotta get ready for tomorrow, so you two go play outside.
Itsuki: You guys have another turf battle tomorrow?
Crow: Yep. If we win tomorrow, we'll have conquered all of Satellite!
Itsuki: Wow, cool! Good luck, Lyra!
Annie: And to you too, Crow! *both leave*
Crow: Those two are a handful...
Lyra: Yet you love them anyways.
Crow: Lyra, you're gonna start getting ready for tomorrow too, right?
Lyra: That's right. Have to be prepared as we can.
Crow: You should try dueling a lot of different people.
(Crow's advice is pretty sound, if you haven't been. For now, however, Lyra's going to spend some DP on Runner parts. The second tier of everything is unlocked now, as well as this.)
(This is one of the new front parts I mentioned, the Cool Down. It only comes in one level, but gives you endurance regen by sacrificing some performance. I haven't actually used it before, so I can't tell you how much the trade-off hurts. Whenever you're ready to start kicking tail, just talk to Crow.)
(That...seems really incongruous. Well, maybe not. You want to fall asleep the day before something big so that you can pass the hours quickly. Which is why often you can't sleep.)
Lyra: Yeah, I'm going to at least try to sleep.
Crow: All right! Let's do our best tomorrow!
-The Next Day-Crow: It's time for our last turf battle. The others are probably already waiting on us. Let's go!
(I just want to point out that they walk really dramatically slowly here.)
Kalin: I'm gonna enjoy this! You're all ready, right? I'm not known for my patience!
Crow: I'm not askin' you to wait! I'm itching to get moving right now!
Lyra: This is it...our last battle together. Let's savor these duels.
Yusei: This may be the last turf battle, but it's no place for a letup.
Jack: Whoever's out there waiting for us, let's meet them head-on!
Kalin: The Enforcers, let's go! *runs off*
Crow: All right! *runs off*
Lyra: Team Non-Securities, I wonder...can you satisfy us? *walks in with Jack and Yusei*
(The camera pans over to these two from their counterparts. Also, that's either a typo because we're playing a girl or an oblique and ineffectual insult. I think it's the former.)
Hashinoshima: If we continue thrashing them one by one, this'll be a cakewalk! Hahaha!
Lyra: *grinning* I really don't like your odds. Four flunkies against one Enforcer? A losing proposition right there.
Jack: Lyra!
Lyra: I know you'd really love to teach them some manners, but do you think you could spare a couple for me? I'm really bored.
Igusa: One of your friends wants to join, eh? If that's how it's gotta be, two of us can handle each of you!
Jack: I was going to take on each and every one of them myself, but sure. You deal with those two.
Lyra: Thanks, Jack. I'll give them back if they still have the will to fight after I'm done.
Hashinoshima: Whether it's one or two of you we have to beat, it won't change a thing!
Lyra: No, I don't think it will. Whenever you're ready, boys. (Do take a moment to save first)
Igusa: You mean you're not even the littlest bit scared? You really are cocky!
(Yes, that's right. Its their tag team against you on your lonesome. The only thing that makes this difficult is that they actually have decently complementing strategies. Igusa's Battle is a warrior deck focused on swarming the field and utilizing X-Saber Urbellum and Wayne for power. Power Bridge is an Equip deck that utilizes Guardian Eatos. He will interfere with Igusa's The Immortal Bushi though, and neither of them have much in the way of defense. So if you can outmatch them in power, then the duel is yours.)
Igusa: The two of us together lost? I can't believe this!
Hashinoshima: Huh?! Those two lost, too?! Where'd they go?!
Igusa: Oh, I forgot...! I got an errand to run!
Hashinoshima: Uhhh! Oh, yeah! Phew, my stomach sure is growling. Guess I better go get some chow... Yeah...! *both flee*
Jack: Well, looks like we're both all right.
Lyra: Yeah. Sorry about stealing your opponents.
Jack: Doesn't matter how many of those losers come at me at a time, they're no match.
Lyra: Of course. Now let's go thin them out a little more.
Crow: You should just keep going.
Lyra: Right!
(But not before we collect)
(Upstairs is a save point, again, use it. This next pair is not easy.)
Torino: Hey! Here! Over here!
Torino: Yes, that's so. And don't say that we are acting cowardly. This is all part of a brilliant strategy.
Lyra: "Beat on the invaders 2-on-1 until they give up?" I fail to see the brilliance.
Mitchie: You are out of luck, and you had better just agree to our terms and surrender.
Lyra: Very well, I am prepared to accept your surrender. No? Well then, I suppose we'll just have to duel.
Mitchie: You'll help make us famous!
(This team has less synergy than Outlaws, but is considerably more dangerous...Torino's Powered Bird, a Harpy deck, still falls under the category of "more annoying than dangerous", but Road of Mitchie is a Koa'Ki Meiru deck. It's not very well-built, but it can very easily shut down a deck dependent on its LIGHT and DARK monsters, like Lyra's is. Fortunately, she manages.)
Torino: No! But our strategy was perfect!
Mitchie: ... ... ... (Drat! How could this happen?! Our leader will be furious!)
Torino: ... ... ... (We better do whatever it takes to get out of here.)
Mitchie: ... ... ... (Indeed. We must really work together, dear partner.)
Torino: ... ... ... (Leave it to me, partner!)
Mitchie: ... ... ... This is your doing! You kept getting in my way!
Torino: YOU'RE the one who kept getting in MY way!
Mitchie: Well, had you not been so weak, we wouldn't have had so much trouble!
Torino: I don't believe you! If that is how you really feel, then try me!
Mitchie: That's just what I've been waiting for!
Torino: *to Lyra* Watch it, you! *both push past*
Lyra: That...ranks up there on weirdest things I've seen.
(Past them is another optional block puzzle. As promised, below is a video of the solution.)
(Getting the Worn-Out Clothes outfit (Rock 'n Roller if you're Male) is the hardest part. Here's what it looks like, by the way.)
(Now back to the game.)
Lyra: Yusei! Kalin!
Yusei: Kalin!
Kalin: Ugh...!
Yusei: It's not working! Just let go! Keep this up and you'll fall, too!
Kalin: Are you nuts?! I can't just leave you! No way! Grahhh! I'm...DEFINITELY...not letting you...go!!!
Yusei: Kalin...
Kalin: You're my...friend!!!
(I understand the need for this exchange, but why doesn't your character try to go and help them?
Lyra: Yusei's the one that can spin kick and knock out a suit with a single punch. I don't have the arm strength needed for much beyond carrying a Duel Disk.)
Gushizawa: I never thought that trap would actually work, but it snared both of you. Just smashing! But I wonder how much longer you can continue this little game of friendship... All I have to do is hurt you just a little to get you to let go, am I right? *starts walking over*
Kalin: Grrr!
Yusei: Let go, Kalin! I'll be okay somehow!
Kalin: I'll never let go...even if it means the end of me!
Gushizawa: Haha! Trying to play the hero, eh? Huh...? What are you doing here?
Lyra: Dealing with trash that thinks it's better to deal with their opponents with deathtraps rather than duel. You'll have to go through me to get to them!
Gushizawa: Oh, you're a friend of theirs? And you intend to try and help them, do you? So you'd all like to fall together! Well, in that case, I'm sure it can be arranged!
Kalin: Lyra! We're okay here! I got this! You just put that guy in his place!
Lyra: With pleasure!
Kalin: I wish it could be me, but...I've got my hands full, you could say!
Gushizawa: So, what'll it be? I very much doubt a wimp like you has what it takes to beat me.
Lyra: You wouldn't be the first to underestimate me, and you won't be the last. Let's do this.
Gushizawa: Oh, reall? You're not going to back down? Looks like I'll have to teach you a lesson! I'll finish you up first!
(Gushizawa's special rule is that you start with 4000 LP. Yes, you. Not you and him, just you. To make things worse, Way of Gushizawa is a Six Samurai deck. If you're unlucky, he could easily summon a Six Samurai, summon Grandmaster, run over your defender and attack directly with one of them, then sacrifice both to Six Scrolls of the Samurai for a Shien and end the duel in one turn. However, he has to get really lucky for that. Either keep up a strong defense or overwhelm him with your own powerful monsters and the game is yours.)
Gushizawa: Y-you...?! I didn't expect you to be that good!
Lyra: No one ever does. It's a failing I inspire.
Kalin: Hello there! Having a good time?
Lyra: Why, yes, I am. You?
Gushizawa: Huh?! When did you two...?!
Lyra: *dryly* While we were dueling. Do try to keep up.
Gushizawa: No!!! *flees*
Kalin: Such a pathetic guy!
Yusei: Kalin, Lyra, I'm really sorry about that.
Kalin: Yusei, what are you talking about? We're friends! Friends always help each other out!
Lyra: It could have happened to any of us. None of us would have let go.
Kalin: And to top it off...we've brought this area under our control! Finally, Satellite is united!
Lyra: Hey, that's right!
Yusei: We finally did it.
Kalin: Not to mention, Lyra took down the final leader. You were a huge help, Lyra.
Lyra: *blushes* I try.
Yusei: Definitely. Everyone contributed, that's how we were able to do it. Isn't that right, Lyra?
Lyra: Alone I'd have been exhausted well before I got to the leader. That's definitely true.
Kalin: Ha, it sure is! I tell you, I've got the best friends in the whole world!
Yusei: All right, let's go meet up with Jack and Crow.
Kalin: Yeah! And after that, let's celebrate our victory! Woohoo!!!
And so, the Enforcers were able to fulfill their dream of uniting all of Satellite.
A few days later...(You're back in the Enforcer HQ with a pensive Jack and Yusei. Trying to leave the building will result in Crow suggesting you duel them.)
Lyra: I don't know. But even if there's no duel gangs left, we can still play the game. For fun, at least.
Yusei: Why don't we have a little duel? Just for fun, of course.
Lyra: I was about to suggest the same thing.
Yusei: Okay! Let's make it a good one!
(As an enforcer, Yusei uses Rallying Warriors, a deck focused on the Synchron warriors and utilizing other signature cards. Strangely, he lacks Stardust Dragon despite the fact that Jack hasn't stolen it yet. His Synchro Warriors are his most threatening cards, and that makes Quickdraw Synchron a major threat since it can be Special Summoned and used for any of his Synchro Warriors. Colossal Fighter should be able to take care of anything he can throw at you, however.)
Yusei: You've gotten really good. Here, give this card a go in your next duel.
You obtained "Quillbolt Hedgehog"Lyra: I might, thanks.
Yusei: Nobody knows what might happen in the days to come. I've realized that I should treat every single duel as though it were my last.
Lyra: That's kind of depressing...but I suppose that means you'll never have any regrets.
Lyra: I can't be. Even if we control Satellite, there's just...there's got to be more. It can't end like this.
Jack: Dueling is our heart and soul. Come on, let's give it a shot.
Lyra: All right. Let's go.
Jack: Every single duel is a bridge to the future.
(Jack's Dragons' Lair deck mixes dragon monsters with a few of his signature cards: Mad Archfiend, Dark Resonator, Twin-Shield Defender...but like Yusei is missing his Stardust Dragon, Jack lacks his Red Dragon Archfiend. Thus his only Synchro is Exploder Dragonwing, which can be summoned by either Dark Resonator + Blizzard or Luster Dragon or Magna Drago + Vice Dragon. Fortunately, that means if you can field a monster with over 2400 ATK, you should be fine. Just watch for Strong Wind Dragon, it can start with up to 3400 ATK if he tributes a Vice Dragon for it, and 3400 ATK with piercing is scary.)
Jack: Keep aiming high. You can't go wrong. I'm taking a new step forward. Here's proof.
You obtained "Different Dimension Capsule"(Ah, the poor man's Gold Sarcophagus. It can definitely be useful, but don't fetch a card you can't live without, since any Spell removal keeps that card removed from play permanently.)
Jack: Now that I got my head screwed on straight again...
Lyra: Good luck, Jack.
(Now you can leave...sort of.)
Kalin: You're no match for me at all! You don't have any right to call yourself a duelist!
Kalin: Crying won't make anything better! Now come on, it's your turn! Go on and bring out that pathetic little card I know you wanna play! It won't save you!
Lyra: Kalin?! What the hell are you doing?!
Kalin: Get outta my way!
(You can't get close to him, or he'll push you away, but the game won't let you just leave, either. So go inside and get help.)
Crow: Sounds like somethin' big is goin' down outside... I wonder what happened...
Lyra: It's Kalin...he...he's torturing a duelist out there, just a kid! I tried to do something, but he just shoved me out of the way.
Crow: What?! Really?! Kalin?! We gotta go stop him! *everyone runs out*
Kalin: *takes a step forward, driving the kid to the edge* Listen, if you're going to duel...duel with all you've got!
Crow: Kalin, stop it! *runs in and shoves Kalin aside* Hey, you! Get outta here! *Kiyoto runs off*
Kalin: Whaddaya think you're doing, Crow?!
Crow: I'd like to ask you the same thing! What do you think you're gaining by doing this?
Kalin: Weeding out the weaklings, that's what! And if anyone's not rolling with us, they're our enemies! How else are we going to conquer all of Satellite?
Crow: You think we have to start hurting little kids like that, though?!
Kalin: Yeah! We do! We don't need ANY wannabe duelists around here, no matter how old they are!
Crow: ... ... ... I thought dueling was about the ability to have fun whenever you want, no matter who you are. What gives you the right to take that away from any of us?!
Kalin: What?!
Crow: I'm done. I'm through with this team.
Kalin: *as Crow's leaving* Hey! I thought we were a team! Crow! You're jut gonna turn your back on your friends like that?!
Jack: ... ... ... *leaves as Lyra approaches*
Kalin: Jack! Hey! Jack! Crow! Yusei, we're a team right? We're friends, right?!
Yusei: ... ... ...
Kalin: Come on, say something!
Lyra: *turns to Kalin* We were. But if the Enforcers are about unthinking domination now, then I want no part in it. You know where to find me if you grow up. *starts to leave*
Yusei: Lyra...
Lyra: *turns to him* Yusei...try to talk some sense into him. *leaves*
