WOW!
That is the first thing that comes to mind when I think of the awesome community that helped us raise almost TWICE our initial goal! Secondly, a big thank you to AyeAyeLTD for his help with the project, initially it was his idea when he came to me, and we put our heads together and ran with it! It was a blast!
The single most amazing moment of this event was the fact that we broke our initial goal BEFORE WE EVEN STARTED!! That was awesome, and made me think that we really could have doubled that projection, but alas, we fell short of a full $1,000 and only raised... wait I'm saying only?? We raised OVER $750 IN TWO DAYS!!
I cannot thank you all enough, and I know we could have done even better if it weren't for a dammed power outage that knocked out 10 HOURS of my stream! I tried making it up today, but many people didn't realize I was streaming again, so I know that we could have done better fiven the weather.
Overall it was a blast, and I'm already s tarting thinking about the NEXT summer showdown and how to make it bigger and better then the one we just finished.
For now I moved the Showdown from the navigation into a new "EVENTS" category for this and fiture events to come  . The charity page is still open for those who are interested in giving still, and everything can be found here:
